nest - wool modern chair
This chair was created as a part of an event, held by the woolmark company. The pinwu design team was invited to develop a piece of furniture made out of an therefore unconventional material - wool.
The design philosophy behind this piece is "creating solid things with soft material". The nest chair is made of wool in a technique usually used with chinese bamboo weaving. The wool makes it very soft and the technique combining with rattan and bamboo makes it very sturdy - able to support over 200 kg in weight.
